matev valuesOur values are our basic framework and at the same time pave the way to success
Originality
We are refreshingly different. We don't blindly follow the mainstream. If someone says "it won't work!", that just raises a faint smile. Matev stands for originality - and consistently does its thing.
Progress
That’s our goal. We don't rest on our laurels, we keep going. In the process, we listen carefully and use our wealth of knowledge and many years of experience. We will find the right way - for us and our customers.
Enthusiasm
That's what drives us. We do our thing, not because we have to, but because we want to. We are full of beans; we don't throw in the towel right away, we’ll keep at it.
Together
For us, it is important to work together in a spirit of trust and appreciation, both within the team and in cooperation with our customers. Together we are strong, only together we can create a better future - for everyone.
matev SpiritWe are on fire,
even in ice and snow
Anyone who gets to know matev will quickly notice this. We love what we do and that's something we celebrate. From blacksmith to agricultural machinery dealer
Sperber started as a farrier and developed into a dealer of agricultural machines with a specialized workshop. After establishing the partnership with John Deere in 1960, Sperber continued to expand it.
Development of first attachments
1969-1976
Development of first attachments
The introduction of the first John Deere small tractors created a new market. In that period, Fritz Sperber imported two containers of small tractors from America to Germany. However, on their own, the tractors were of little use. In order to make it a working machine, Sperber had started developing individual attachments. With a product range consisting of a snow plow blades as well as a sweepers, the foundation was laid for the successful development of the future Sperber Maschinenbau (today matev GmbH).
"Mowing and collection in one operation"
1976-1988

In addition to expanding the classic range of attachments, Fritz Sperber brought a new concept back with him from America, "mowing and collection in one operation". Thus, a new business division successfully entered the market and the new division "Sperber Maschinenbau" was founded in the Sperber Group.
